New Directors Emeritus Inducted

In his book “Dream Hunter”, former Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge Manager Ed Crozier tells how over 45 years ago he and fellow outsdoorsman Dick Duerre hiked in the Minnesota Valley and pipe-dreamed how someday it should be protected before it was filled in with trash from the Burnsville landfill.  With the benefit of hindsight, today we can see that their dream wasn’t unrealistic–indeed, they got a lot of other people to believe it and to do something about it to make it come true.

Refuge Friends Inc Directors wanted to salute the past work of these two men and have named them “Directors Emeritus” of Refuge Friends Inc.  Ed and Dick are the first individuals recognized in this manner and we wish them well in their future endeavors to protect and preserve the Refuge and valley.
